Why am I not surprised?

So Sergio Leone took more than an inspiration for “Fistful of Dollars” from a Japanese classic, Kurosawa’s “Yojimbo”. But somewhere in my reading I have seen that Kurosawa himself was inspired by a noir by Dashiell Hammett … gottaa chase down this tumbleweed…
